Privacy Policy

CostMyTokens (“we”, “us”) operates costmytokens.com, a free calculator and price reference for large language model (LLM) APIs. This policy explains what data we do and do not collect. The short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser, we have no user accounts, and we never see the text or numbers you enter.

What we collect

  • Calculator inputs: nothing. Token counts, pasted text, and usage figures are processed locally in your browser. They are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data — IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, and timestamps — for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic statistics. Logs are retained by the provider under its own policies.
  • Analytics. We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free aggregate analytics to count page views. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.
  • Email you send us. If you contact us, we keep the message and your address only to respond.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics or embedded third-party content is added later, this policy will be updated before it goes live.

Third-party processors

The site is delivered by Cloudflare (hosting and CDN), which processes the request data described above under its own policies.

Some pages on this site contain affiliate links. If you click one and later buy from that provider, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages where they appear. Commissions never influence the prices we list, our calculator results, or the order in which options are shown — ranking is by price only.

We do not currently use Google AdSense or any other advertising network, and we do not set advertising cookies.

Your rights

Because we hold no accounts and no calculator data, there is usually nothing personal for us to retrieve or delete. For log-related requests, contact us and we will explain what our hosting provider retains and how to reach them.

Children

This site is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will update this page when practices change and revise the date above.
